“Treat a man as he is and he will remain as he is. Treat a man as he can and should be and he will become as he can and should be.”
Goethe

Not only do persons with better health habits survive longer, but in such persons, disability is postponed and compressed into fewer years at the end of life.”

Diana is a Functional Medicine Nutrition Practitioner, Integrative Registered Dietitian, Licensed Clinical Nutritionist with a Masters degree in Educational  Wellness Counseling.  She had advanced training in Integrative & Functional Nutrition Medicine from the Institute of Functional Medicine as well as professional training under the direction of Jon Kabat-Zinn in Mindfulness-Based Meditation.  Diana is a member of the American Dietetic Association (ADA), Institute for Functional Medicine and the Integrative and Functional Medicine Dietetic Practice Group of the ADA.

In working with clients for over 23 years, her practice beliefs center on the wellness model.  She incorporates medical-orthodox lab tests,  functional lab tests, motivational interviewing, mindfulness training, lifestyle counseling while customizing nutrition therapy (i.e., using therapeutic foods, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and botanicals) for her patients in accordance with the functioning of their organs and health goals.

Diana remains up-to-the-moment on evidence-based complementary nutrition-medicine (CAM), reviews hundreds of studies per year and regularly attends CAM conferences all which enable her to better understand your health issues and bridge conventional and emerging restorative health choices.  She transforms this technical information into teachings that go far beyond a prudent lifestyle (i.e., eating a well-balanced diet, exercising regularly, no smoking and drinking a glass of wine a day), and teaches her audiences and clients new scientific breakthroughs in nutrition and lifestyle medicine that reverse physiological dysfunction (or disease) and restore health.  Her decades of clinical training in both allopathic and complementary nutrition medicine allows her to interpret lab tests and then educate her patients on how to utilize this testing into valuable lifestyle action for health restoration and promotion.

As a national speaker, Diana has delivered hundreds of presentations and health promotion programs to organizations ranging from Fortune 500 companies to medical schools. She is a clinical instructor and Functional Medicine Nutrition Practitioner  at Tulane University School of Medicine and EJGH's Family Medicine and Residency Program. She is frequently interviewed as a nutrition expert for television, radio, newspaper and magazine articles.

She has authored the informative workbook, “Making Health Transformations”, which teaches the “nuts and bolts” of how to use foods, neutraceuticals and mindfulness to help the body’s daily replication of the 300 billion cells be stronger and more resistant to disease and more prone to graceful aging.
